What are your hours?

We’re at the office Monday-Friday, 10am-6pm. However, we’re happy to rent the studio to you outside these hours and on weekends*. To book outside our normal business hours, email us or give us a call (online booking will not work for this).

* Rental rates after 6pm are an additional $25. After-hour rentals will most often get a free upgrade to Studio 2 (please inquire for availability).

For holiday bookings, please call to check for availability.

Where are you located?

We’re at 115 West 30th St., Suite #306, New York, NY, 10001. We're on the corner of 30th and 6th, between 6th and 7th Ave — right near Penn Station.

How do I book?

You can either call us, email us, or book online.

Can I stop by and see the place?

Sure! Call us before stopping by so we can make sure the space is available.

Do you require a deposit?

Yes, we require a non-refundable $50 deposit on all rentals of up to half a day, and a $100 deposit on full-day rentals. 

You can call or email us with your payment information, or make a deposit online.

When is payment due, and how do I pay?

A $50 non-refundable deposit is due upon booking. You can make your full payment at our studio on the day of your rental. Saturday and Sunday rentals should be paid in full the Friday before your rental.

We accept cash and all major credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.

What are your rates?

Rentals start at $175 for two hours. You can see a full list of our rates here.

What is your overtime fee?

$75 per additional hour.

Can I cancel or reschedule?

Cancellations or requests to reschedule must be made five days prior for all studio rentals. Failure to cancel rental within the designated times will incur in loss of deposit and full amount of the rental.

What backdrops do you have?

One pull of seamless paper is included with studio rentals over 2 hours. Additional seamless paper is $25 per pull. We keep white, black, and grey seamless paper in the studios.

We typically have other colors as well — call to check availability for your chosen color before your rental. If we don't have your specific seamless color, we can order it for you and have it delivered to the studio. We charge for the cost of the roll plus delivery fee. You can also bring your own background if you prefer.

Do you have a service elevator?

Yes, it’s located next to the studio entrance.

Are there bathrooms and changing areas?

Bathrooms are located down the hall. (There are no changing rooms in the studios, but we have v-flats.)

What size are the studios?

Studio 1, sized 16’x20’x14’, can comfortably fit groups of 6-8 people while still leaving plenty of space to work. 

Studio 2, sized 20’x24’x12’, can accommodate larger shoots and can comfortably host parties of up to 20 people. 

Do you have WiFi?

Yes. Passwords are displayed in the studios.

Do you have music?

Yes, we have iPod docks.

What other amenities are available?

We have air conditioning, clothing racks, hair and makeup stations, tables, chairs, couches, menus, mini fridges, and a microwave. Bathrooms are located down the hall. 

We also offer print and design services on-site.

What equipment do you have?

Our rentals include much of the equipment you might need for your shoot: seamless paper*, Profoto lighting kits, flash heads, umbrellas, softboxes, boom stands, light stands, v flats, auto poles, and more.

We also have a large range of additional equipment available for rent, including cameras and lenses, light modifiers, wind machines, fog machine, and more. Check out our full list of equipment here.

* Not included with two-hour rentals. Seamless paper is $25 per pull. We include one pull for rentals over two hours.

Do you have natural lighting?

While we don’t consider ourselves a “daylight studio,” there is plenty of natural light available. Studio 1 has three large windows, and Studio 2 has four large windows — all north-facing. We also have lighting equipment included in your rental. The windows can be blacked out.

Is the studio soundproof?

While the studios are generally quiet, we cannot guarantee it will be completely soundproof.

What can I use your studios for?

Lots of things! Clients in the past have used our space for: e-commerce, castings, editorial shoots, look books, catalog shoots, video production, music videos, meet-up space, classes, fashion shoots, interviews, private parties, and more.
